Minecraft has been an occasional way to get my mind free and relaxed for quite a while now. Recently I stumbled upon some videos about the lately released "
Life in the Woods - Renaissance" modpack by
Phedran, installed it and loved it right from the start. It provides a well balanced experience for both exploring and settling/farming. You can find a lot of interesting landscapes and plants but you also have to take care about the food situation. So - big thanks here to Phedran and of course all the developers of the included mods.
Btw, as you see on the images I can't play with the advanced shaders. They drop the framerate too much and remind me that the graphics card on my machine wasn't intended to be used for gaming. Still a lot of fun.

I used one of the world seeds provided by Phedran in her seed showcase videos (Cherry Blossom Cove) and this was my first home to get things started.

I've also seen some nice flowing rivers already but didn't take a screenshot.
